The transfer switch also features a load shedding feature which allows you to connect up to 2 Air Conditioners and up to 4 other 240V circuits, which the generator will "shed" or, turn off, should it potentially overload the capacity of the generator.

Typically the need to transfer circuits into a generator backed panel is not necessary, as it can back up the complete service.

If you have already purchased a generator from a retailer, we can quote you an installation cost, however we will still need to perform an onsite estimate.

How Do We Determine our Standard Installation Prices?

A standard installation is considered locating the generator within approximately 10 feet of both utilities (the existing main electric panel/new automatic transfer switch (ATS) and an adequate main gas supply or the gas meter).

Electric and gas piping must be made through unfinished areas and/or above grade to be included in the standard installation price.

Installation conditions which are considered above and beyond
the standard installation pricing:

- All finished areas that must be cut through to complete piping

- Underground trenching

- Any length of gas or electric that exceeds the 10 feet included in the standard install price

- Other job location specific difficulties (which will be described by the estimator before the estimate is left at the home or business)
